EVALUATION OF IMMUNODEFICIENCIES RESPONSIBLE FOR SEVERE VIRUS INFECTIONS
A postdoctoral position is available in the Medical Virology Section, Laboratory of Infectious Diseases, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health (NIH) to identity cellular genes and signaling pathways important for control of virus infections. The Medical Virology Section evaluates patients who have severe chronic disease due to virus infections. We are using genetic testing to try to identify and characterize new cellular genes important for controlling viruses to develop new forms of treatment. This position is located at the NIH main campus in Bethesda, Maryland.
Candidates must have an M.D. or Ph.D., less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience, and experience in immunology.
