Date Posted Feb 22, 2001 Scholarship/Resource Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program Hiring Organization Bureau of Primary Health Center Description The Health & Human Services Department helps recruit and retain professional nurses to provide health care to the underserved through its Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program. NELRP will pay up to 60% of the principal and interest of a qualified nurse's education if the nurse makes a two-year commitment to work in an Indian Health Service health center, a Native Hawaiian health center, a public hospital, a migrant health center, a community health center, a rural health clinic, or a public or nonprofit private health facility determined by HHS to have a shortage of nurses.
