We are happy to announce that the MGH Youth Neurology Education and Research Program, created through a partnership of Massachusetts General Hospital and the Biogen Foundation, will be offering paid research internships again in the summer of 2022. Following last year’s incredible success, we look forward to again providing an innovative neurology education and research program for high school seniors, undergraduates, and post-baccalaureate students across Massachusetts.
Participants will be matched with mentors at MGH Neurology, where they will have immersive opportunities to conduct team-based neurology research; participate in interactive learning sessions on neurology topics and related careers; write scientific abstracts and manuscripts; nurture their leadership and mentoring skills; share their talents with the broader community; and join a robust network of peers and mentors.
Attached are recruitment flyers, where you will find further details on the internship schedule and applicant eligibility. We kindly ask that you share this opportunity broadly with students, teachers, and community members in your networks. The deadline to apply is March 25th, 2022.
For students who are interested in neurology and related careers but who do not meet eligibility requirements for the internship, we will be hosting free-of-charge weekly didactic sessions open to all students throughout the summer. The INSPIRE Speaker Series will allow participants to engage with Neurology professionals and learn about their educational and career journeys. For students interested, please share the registration link below and they will receive Zoom information as the summer nears.
