The highly competitive Summer Internship Program at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) provides research training opportunities for college students who have a strong desire to pursue a career in the biomedical field. Interns are carefully matched with NIBR scientist mentors to gain first-hand exposure to NIBR’s innovative approaches to research, science and technology.
Program Highlights
Interns conduct an independent research project under the guidance of a NIBR scientist. This 10-week paid internship from runs from June to August at our research headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Interns will participate in scientific, personal, and professional development events such as poster sessions, seminars and workshops. Social events will take place at various times during the internship.
NIBR is committed to providing inclusive research experiences and encourages applications from talented individuals, including students from under-resourced communities who are interested in biomedical careers. Prior research experience is not required and we welcome applicants for whom this would be their first internship.
