We are seeking a candidate with training and experience in perinatal epidemiology for a postdoctoral fellowship in the Fertility and Reproductive Health Group (PI: Anne Marie Jukic, PhD) in the Epidemiology Branch at the NIH National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. The successful candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and statistical modeling. Experience in environmental health sciences, questionnaire design and implementation, mixtures modeling, and biomarker studies preferred.
The postdoctoral fellow will work with the PI to develop a research portfolio that fits their interests and training goals. Potential research areas include 1) a clinical trial of vitamin D and menstrual cycles; 2) air pollution, climate, and fertility; or 3) biomarkers of early placental health.
The fellow’s time will be devoted to data analysis, manuscript preparation, and career development (e.g., grant application workshops, teaching workshops, etc.). Fellows at NIEHS are encouraged to build on existing resources to develop new projects that become the basis for transition to independent research awards, K99/R00 and non-NIH research grants. The training environment is enriched by proximity and access to local universities (e.g., University of North Carolina, NC Central University, NC State University, and Duke University).
