Additional Comments: The goals of the program are to expose undergrad. students to laboratory research & to the opportunities for careers in biomedical research.The program runs for ten weeks each summer. The most important component is a hands-on research project with a faculty mentor, where the student is exposed to contemporary methods & problems in biomedical research. Additional activities include workshops on contemporary scientific issues, such as ethics or effective communication of science.
