The NHGRI Intramural Research Program seeks an outstanding tenure-track or tenure-eligible investigator to
pursue innovative, independent research in computational genomics. NHGRI is committed to fostering growth in
the broad area of genomic data science and the specific application of computational techniques to improve our
understanding of genome biology.

The successful candidate will join the NHGRI’s Center for Genomics and Data Science Research. Subject areas within
This center includes bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational biology, epidemiology, genetics, genomics, machine
learning, mathematics, and population sciences, all of which may involve both basic and clinical research programs.

The position provides access to the exceptional resources of the NIH Intramural Sequencing Center (NISC), the NIH
Center for Information Technology (CIT), a Top 500 supercomputing facility, NHGRI’s outstanding core facilities and the
unparalleled NIH Clinical Center.

Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or an equivalent doctoral degree, as well as comprehensive advanced training
and a record of accomplishment.
