Aetna Health Professions Partnership Initiative - College Enrichment Program

Academic Level Targeted: college, (college freshmen and sophomores who are enrolled at the University of Connecticut)

Racial/Ethnic Focus: any racial/ethnic group, African American, Native American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian, or others from disadvantaged backgrounds

Type of Program: education, career/academic planning

Program Attributes: for credit, meals provided, housing provided, books/supplies provided, stipend provided, mentors/advisors provided

Program Acceptance Requirements: class year (college freshmen and sophomores who are enrolled at the University of Connecticut), disadvantaged status (economically/educationally disadvantaged), GPA/academic standing

Primary Science Discipline(s) Targeted: bio (cellular), chemistry, dentistry, medicine, physics, calculus, PhD programs in biomedical or behavioral health research

Additional Comments: Applicants must meet all eligibility criteria, and have a high probability of fulfilling the social and educational goals of this program. Primary consideration is given to students who have participated in the Uconn Health Aetna Health Professions Partnership Initiative and Rowe Scholars Program.
